TermiNOx™
TermiNOx™ converts any open-loop LPG fueled off-road LSI engine into a state
of the art closed-loop 3-way catalyst controlled engine that simultaneously
reduces CO, HC and NOx emissions while increasing fuel efficiency. The ECS
TermiNOx™ system is CARB verified for engines from 1L to 8.2L in
displacement. For more information about this verification »Click Here

ARE YOU COMPLIANT FOR CALIFORNIA FLEET REGULATIONS ON JANUARY 1, 2009

CARB and the US EPA determined that most off-road gasoline and LPG engines are similar to, or derived from 1980’s and 1990’s automobile engines and as such could employ closed loop three way catalyst systems on new and existing engines to greatly reduce emissions.

Between in 2001-2004, new engine regulations were phased-in that required the implementation of these emissions control technologies.

In addition, CARB has passed a fleet requirements regulation that require that all existing fleets with >4 pieces of LSI equipment (example: forklifts, sweepers, scrubbers, tow tractors and airport ground support equipment to also take steps to reduce emissions by January 1, 2009).

An important compliance option for fleets with engines >1L to 8.2L is the retrofit of verified emissions controls such as the ECS TermiNOx™ system.
